Stewardship
At the beginning of the Bible, the book of Genesis tells us that everything on earth was created by God in love. At the baptism of Jesus in Luke’s Gospel, John the Baptist tell the crowd that they must share what they have. Matthew’s Gospel tells us that whenever we share with those most in need we are sharing with Jesus himself.
These three things are the essence of stewardship: the knowledge that what we have is a gift from God, that we are called to share it with others, and that when we do we are sharing with Jesus himself. Although Stewardship is most often talked about as something we do as individual it is important to recognise that it is also an important part of our life as a community. After all, God doesn’t just bless individuals, St. Paul’s has also received many gifts from God.
This year’s Stewardship campaign is focused on those things that we do as a community to share God’s blessings with the world. They include sharing our building with groups who need space to meet at a low cost, contributing to the food bank, helping those who come to our door in need, and providing friendship and community for those who are lonely to name a few. None of these things could happen without you and your stewardship of your time, talent and treasure.
As we take time in October and November to celebrate the ways that St. Paul’s lives out it’s commitment to be good stewards of God’s gifts and to discern the ways that you can be a part of those ministries, members of the St. Paul’s United Church Ajax family are invited to review the documents below and to consider how you can best share your financial gifts and support St. Paul’s going forward.

A dedication of these commitments will take place on November 15, 2026.
Your ongoing support of St. Paul’s is very much appreciated.
